Welcome to Grocery Outlet Wino’s Wine Reviews, where we don’t need a “certified sommelier” to tell us if a bottle’s any good. Honestly, “sommelier” sounds like a medieval insult — “Thou art a sommelier and smell of spoiled grapes!”  You won’t find any talk of “unctuous mouthfeel” or “whispers of elderberry” here. Whether it’s a $7 bottle that punches above its weight or one that tastes like regret and raisins, I’ll tell it like it is — no swirling, no sniffing, no tasting notes that sound like perfume ads and definitely no “hints of wet limestone” nonsense. So, if you’ve ever stared at a wall of budget wine and wondered, “Is this ‘Cab Sauv’ gonna be a casual delight or a grape-flavored regret?” — you’re in the right place. I’m just a regular person who loves a good deal and an even better buzz.  Think of me as your unqualified wino buddy — except I did once drink a $100 bottle, so basically, I’m a pro.  🍷
